An African in the Diaspora: Just like you!
A little about me?
As an African in diaspora, I take great pride in my African upbringing, which helped me grow into the person I am today and to navigate life outside of Africa. I like to understand African roots and learn from others’ experiences away from the continent. Too often, I see people like me who have become separated from their roots, and I am passionate about learning and highlighting our common cultures and experiences away from our Home. Chilling with the Diaspora is an opportunity for me and you to learn from fellow Africans about their experiences and all the things we have in common. Through guest interviews, we will cover stories and lessons that are applicable on a wide scale. I was born in Cameroon, and I relocated as an infant, traveling throughout Africa and then around the world. Speaking both French and English, I enrolled in university in Montréal, graduated, and settled in Toronto. I am an avid basketball player, a former DJ, and an eBusiness consultant. There is nothing more exciting than challenging standards and commonly-held beliefs. To me, and on my podcast, nothing is held sacred: I talk about a wide range of topics in a respectful and fun tone… and sarcastic at time. This is the only way I know to better myself and the world around me. Humility and confidence are values of mine. I like whips, and I am just as comfortable in a fitted suit as I am in baggy jeans and Timbs.
